Direct Thermal Products - Direct thermal printing technology product quality, economical labels for a wide variety of application.  Direct thermal labels and tags are ideal for indoor applications where temperatures don't exceed 140 degrees Direct thermal does not require the use of a ribbon, but uses a chemically coated face stock material (similar to fax imaging) that reacts to temperature.  the image is produced as heat is applied to the surface of the coated material.

Thermal Transfer Products - Thermal Transfer printed products produce long lasting, durable labels and tags with the proper match of face stock material and ribbon for each application.  Customline offers a variety of coated materials and thermal transfer ribbons developed to match our printer and environment. 

Types of Laminates - Laminates that protect the print heads images are available in gloss or matte finish.  We have film laminates in various mil thickness for every application.

Thermal Transfer Ribbons -

Wax thermal transfer ribbon, Wax/Resin thermal transfer, Resin thermal transfer ribbon.

Wax thermal transfer ribbon:  Economical/low cost - A general purpose thermal transfer ribbon designed for both coated and uncoated materials.  This series of thermal ribbon provides low print head temperature, superior edge definition and high density/contrast performance on a wide variety of materials.  Wax/Resin thermal transfer ribbon:  Midrange cost- A mid range formulation thermal transfer ribbon engineered for coated paper, polyesters, polypropylene, plastics and many other premium face stocks.  It is designed for applications where medium smudge, scratch and smear resistance are important.  This ribbon also provides the durability, speed and edge definition (even in high speed "ladder" direction bar codes). Resin thermal transfer ribbon:  Premium cost yet very competitive - A superior premium performance thermal transfer ribbon designed specifically for coated only materials.  This ribbon performs best when used is applications where smudge/scratch resistance and harsh environmental performance are required.  this product will product an image that will perform as if it is protected by a clear lamination.

PRODUCT SOLUTIONS FOR LASER, THERMAL AND IMPACT PRINTED APPLICATIONS in STOCK OR CUSTOMIZED TO FIT YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS:

• Paper Labels & Tags--White, fluorescent, high gloss, etc. Print Technology: Dot matrix, laser, direct thermal, thermal transfer printers.  Paper tag stock is a lower cost solution.  recommended for indoor or mild outdoor application.

• Films & Synthetic Labels & Tags-- Vinyl, polyester, latex, Tyvek, high gloss, etc. Vinyl materials can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces.  Recommended for indoor use, vinyl is water resistant adheres to textured surfaces very well.  Durable Film tags, tickets and labels are recommended for demanding environments.  For use on a wide variety of surfaces even under difficult conditions.  Film products are great for applications requiring chemical and high temperature resistance.  Several varieties available:  polypropylene, polystyrene and polyester. Destructible Film - Discourage theft by using destructible labels, they are impossible to remove in one piece.  Tamper Evident Polyester - White or silver polyester self destructive labels cannot be transferred from one surface to another without leaving a void pattern, therefore discouraging the transfer of property identification tags and property theft or loss. Retro reflective Polyester labels are recommended for applications requiring extremely high contrast when scanning long distances.  Wood Lock Labels - When moisture is a factor and temperatures are extreme, select Wood Lock material.  We use Wood Lock for a variety of environmental conditions including chemical or harsh outdoor applications. Kapton labels meet the tough demands of the electronic industry.  this product withstands soldering temperatures and cleaning solvents involved in PC board production.  Designed specifically with the electronics industry and harsh environments in mind.  Synthetic Tags - For your special tear resistant tags, we choose form a wide range line of synthetic films & material.  Resistant to water, oil, and chemicals.  Great for outdoor use (available in matte finish or gloss finish).  Tyvek incorporates the highest qualities of paper and film to resist tearing, curling and shrinking.  The right solution for tremendous strength, wet or dry.  Also solvent resistant! Inside Window Labels can be applied to the inside of a window and read from the outside.  Choose from any color background and multiple colored images, with or without a bar code.   Piggyback Labels have two adhesive layers and liners.  They can applied once and then reapplied to another item at a later time.  Think of it as two labels in one!

Types of Adhesives:

Permanent - This is the most common type of adhesive.  It is typically specified for standard applications.  It displays good bonding characteristics and withstands most environments, yet its "permanence" depends on the surface it is applied to.  We offer many formulations to meet your exact application requirements.

Removable - When removed, the label will detach in one piece without leaving adhesive residue.  Each removable application requires thorough testing to be sure there is an adhesive/surface match.  Typically a removable adhesive is recommended when a label has a short term life or is applied to a surface that could be damaged by the adhesive.

Repositional - Similar to a removable adhesive, however, the label can be repositioned or reapplied to another item or location, without losing its effectiveness or leaving any residue.

Aggressive (hi-tack) - Typically refers to an adhesive that is at least 2 mils thick.  This adhesive is very aggressive and is difficult, if not impossible, to remove.  It is usually recommended for difficult substrates and/or challenging conditions.

Cold Temperature / All Temperature - A special adhesive that can be applies to surfaces at temperatures as low as -20 degrees and has good permanency at temperatures from -65 degrees to 200 degrees.
